The August project will be held on Thursday, August 26th, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Please bring your children to this project so they may participate in this worthwhile cause (minimum age is 5 years). The session begins with an orientation about FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN. Their mission is committed to feeding starving children worldwide. Volunteers hand-pack nutritious meals made up of rice, soy, vitamins and dehydrated vegetables and partner with relief organizations world-wide. Volunteers need to wear closed-toed shoes for safety reasons.
Breaking from LLH tradition, to volunteer for the August project, we must commit in advance the number of volunteers who will participate. (Our group is limited to 15 adults and 10 children.) The September project will take place at the DCBA building in the lower level. The Humanitarian Service Project headquartered in Carol Stream has asked the committee to assist in their birthday project. The committee will wrap gift boxes for children’s birthdays. Please bring a roll of birthday wrapping paper and ribbon. The date is Thursday, September September 23rd at 5:00 PM.
The Lawyers Lend A Hand project for October is scheduled for THURSDAY, October 28th at 5:30 PM. We will volunteer at the York Community Resource Center in Lombard to host a BBQ. This project was highly successful in the past with 15 volunteers from the committee and 30 families participating. This event is one of many projects schedule to commemorate “Make A Difference Day”.

The annual coat drive is coming up in November. Think of us when you clean out your closets. For the past 10 years, the committee has donated thousands of coats, hats and gloves for the less fortunate.
