The DCBA Find A Lawyer Area provides a way
to locate an attorney and the areas of law in which they concentrate.
We provide this as a public service to assist in the location of appropriate
legal advice and/or representation. Once an attorney is chosen for your
situation, please record the information and contact the attorney in a
timely manner to make an appointment for your consultation. The
attorney will not contact you.
The attorney's office may screen you over
the phone and refer you back to the service for a different referral if
they cannot help you for any reason. Please note that consultation alone
does not obligate you to retain the attorney nor does it obligate the
attorney to represent you.
Step 1 Please fill out the form below to start the Find a Lawyer process.
Once completed click on the "Submit" button. ALL INFORMATION
WILL BE KEPT PRIVATE.
ALL FIELDS ARE REQUIRED.
If you do not find an area or
attorney that fits your needs, or have questions about the type of lawyer
your situation requires, you may wish to contact the DuPage County Lawyer
Referral Service for assistance. The number is (630) 653-9109. The phone
referral service is available Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 4:30 pm, Central
Time, excluding holidays.

LEGAL HELP FOR PERSONS CALLED TO MILITARY SERVICE
Prairie State Legal Services has developed
a program through which military personnel from Illinois who are serving
in response to the September 11 attacks may receive legal services for
problems encountered as a result of the call to active duty. Some typical
problems could be eviction, and drafting of legal documents such as powers
of attorney or simple wills.
Assistance may be needed with preparation of responses required if served
with court papers and need to notify the court of their circumstances.
Respondents do not necessarily have to be indigent.
Call 1/800-892-2985. Press 9 for the receptionist,
and ask to speak to Ms. Jackson. Funding for the project has been provided
by Lawyers Trust Fund.
